Sever All Ties to the British Monarchy
A key objective of the party is to end the relationship with the British Monarchy. Many Canadians are unaware that the official head of state of the country is the British Monarch, and that police, military, government and judicial officers take an oath of allegiance to this monarch, and their heirs. We propose instead an oath to the Canadian people, the rule of law and our constitution.

The Development of a New Constitution
The American Party of Canada will develop and implement a new constitution after severing ties with the British Monarchy. This constitution will be discussed in depth at both party meetings and constitutional conventions that will be convened once the party forms government.
Apply to Congress for Admission into the Union
Pursuant to article IV, Section 3, Clause 1 of United States Constitution, a government formed by the American Party of Canada would apply to the congress of United States of America for formal admission into the union.
The Equal Footing Doctrine would protect Canada's sovereignty to the same degree as each of the original 13 states that founded the union. The state would maintain jurisdiction over civil and criminal law, in order to preserve public order and facilitate the protection of persons and property throughout Canada.
The Right to Healthcare
As part of the states constitution, we would recognize a persons right to healthcare while setting policies to enable a robust expansion of the private practice of medicine in Canada. As a condition of licensing a private practice facility, one day a week of the facilities working hours must donated to serving clients from the public system.
Gun Laws
While the right to bear arms with the expressed purposes of self defence and potential for use by militias to overthrow a tyrannical government will be new to Canadians, a Personal Acquisition License will still be required to purchase a firearm in the State of Canada. Laws restricting magazine capacity, handguns and the RPAL licensing program will be repealed.

No More Pony Soliders
As an institution, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have repeatedly failed to uphold the law and protect the rights of Canadians. Their history of political interference, favouritism and political policing is well documented, and as such, the organization is a stain on the history of the Canada and one of the last vestiges of British occupation. We prefer to see this organization left in the dust bin of history to make way for a better national police service.
Military Draft
For the first few years, all able bodied men will be required to serve in a local militia, the regular armed forces or in a service force. The repeated under funding of the Canadian Armed Forces has created not only a recruitment crisis, but poses an existential danger to our resource rich state.
Beefing up our military and militia movement will deter aggression from foreign adversaries, and facilitate the removal of nearly 6 million illegal aliens currently in our country.
The Crown and First Nations
The wampum symbolizes the agreement to live in peace and friendship, with each party recognizing the other as an equal partner. The two boats each navigate the river of life without steering the other, representing the agreement to maintain a distinct identity while respecting each other.
Unlike the United States where the First Nations people were conquered, in Canada the British Crown repeatedly entered into bad faith negotiations with First Nations peoples, never formally declaring war, instead conquering by lawfare. This is a historical injustice which we see fit to correct via a new Constitution.
